Sausage and Turkey Chili
A meaty twist on a classic.

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 lb ground turkey
1 package (12-16oz) sage variety breakfast sausage
1 can (15oz) spiced stewed tomatoes
2 cans (15oz) whole tomatoes
2 cans (8oz) tomato sauce
1 can (15oz) cannellini beans
1 can (15oz) each pinto, kidney, and great northern
1 cup merlot wine (optional)
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons steak sauce
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon allspice
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper

A meaty twist on a classic.
DIRECTIONS
- In a large skillet saute onion and garlic in oil until onions are soft.
- Add turkey and sausage and cook until browned. Add salt and pepper
- While meat is browning, add all other ingredients to a crock pot.
- Add meat mixture and cook on low heat at least 4 hours.
